A graduate of Coventry University’s Transport Design course, John joined Acumen in 1997 as a specialist transport designer, and has built a strong reputation in the aviation industry for his technical design knowledge and creative problem solving. As one of the most experienced designers working in the aviation sector, he is a named inventor on multiple airline patents that have transformed the market.
John has led more than 20 aviation programmes where he has been responsible for all stages of design delivery from concept generation to aircraft delivery, client and supplier liaison, technical and certification compliance, and mock up development and marketing launch activity. Over the years John has worked extensively with Airbus and Boeing, delivering many ‘blue sky’ innovation programmes that have challenged conventional certification and regulatory constraints. As a pivotal member of the Acumen leadership team, John has considerable experience in translating the strategic intent of our client briefs into innovative and commercially successful solutions.
