Nigel joined Acumen in 1994 as a graduate of Industrial Design at Nottingham University with an exceptional creative talent and vision for conceiving not only innovative but commercially successful design solutions. Over the past 26 years Nigel has been engaged on numerous product and transport design programmes adopting a senior management role as creative director and programme manager. Nigel has been the lead creative on projects as diverse as life science, children’s toys, paper products and high performance marine equipment.
His experience spans from being the co-inventor of the Ora circular paper towel to being the project manager for all seat classes of Etihad’s award winning and flagship A380, B787 and A350 aircraft.
The expertise he has gained within the airline industry comes from a proven track record of design delivery on some of the airline industry’s most historic programmes such as British Airways First ‘Bed in the Sky’; American Airlines ‘Signature Suite’; Air France ‘L’Espace’ First Class; the Airbus A3XX (A380) definitive baseline interior and the Skytrax Award winning Cathay Pacific First Class cabin. A thorough knowledge of the certification and technical constraints, combined with an ability to faithfully deliver concepts on brand and on time, makes Nigel an invaluable member of our leadership team.
