Richard studied automotive and transport design at Coventry University and has worked for acumen since 2007. As one of the longest serving members of the design team Richard has vast experience leading many design programmes for leading airlines and aircraft interior suppliers across the globe. Richard is one of the named inventors on a number of patents that have radically changed the industry in the past few years – such as acumen’s own in house Business Class seat innovation called Optima. Richard is not shy to shake things up with his creative ideas and has pioneered a number of breakthrough innovations across all classes of travel. His candid yet insightful approach has won numerous design awards and commercial success. His experience also extends from commercial aircraft to business jet interiors and seating.
